Favorite 5 Face Masks
I am a mask addict probably to the fault that I over-mask, but I think that gives me a right amount of knowledge to share with you all my favorite masks that I swear keep my acne-prone skin glowing! It was hard to choose 5, but I did it, so lets jump in!
Mask 1: Sunday Riley Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask
Like I mentioned above I have acne-prone skin. I have tried everything to try to get that perfect, clear perfection, but let's be honest breakouts are inevitable. So with that said there are ways I can minimize my breakouts and do my best to keep my skin clean! This mask was a recent find & I'm obsessed. It's perfect for when your skin is giving you lots of problem from cystic acne, to hormonal breakouts to just unclogging those congested pores! The only downside is it leaves a rotten egg smell (gross, I know). It can be used for spot treatment, which I often do, and also for a full 20 mins (sometimes I will stretch it a little longer), so if a clear complexion is what you want to give this mask a try!
Mask 2: Glossier Mega Green Galaxy Pack + Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask
Okay, I know this isn't just one, but after trying them together as Glossier recommends on their website, I think they are the perfect dynamic duo for when you want to hit the restart button with your skin! The mega greens feel like a delicious smoothie on your face & give a tingling sensation, so you know it's doing its job of detoxifying! Then when you following with the moon mask, it's the perfect cooling, creamy goodness that leaves your skin feeling plump + full of hydration! I find that detox masks can leave my skin dry, so that's why I love this combo! Both are standouts alone, but together they could conquer all your skins problems. You can also shop Glossier with me here!
Mask 3: Urban Oreganics Facial Mask: Raw Cacao
This is the mask that made me fall in love with masks, seriously. It's a little different because it comes in a powder form, but that's to help give it a longer shelf life! Pour this mask into a disk add some water and stir it up to create essientially what will smell like a chocolate bar on your face. I mean come on if that doesn't convince you I don't know what will, but if your a fact +figures person this mask has Kaolin Clay to clear acne, bentonite clay to remove toxins & raw cacao powder which works to replenish skin cells & neutralize your skin! I also feel like my skin looks brand new after I wash it off & then I go hunting for something sweet to satisfy my craving after smelling its deliciousness on my face for ten mins! Find it here.
Mask 4: GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment
I am fortunate enough to get to travel a lot, but airports and planes aren't the best places for your skin, so this mask is my go to when I'm home from vacation! The activated charcoal in the mask gets rid of all that dirt and oil that was congesting my pores from not being exposed to lots of toxins! It also doesn't leave my skin feeling super dried out, which I have found that some charcoal masks can! This mask isn't one you have to use a couple of times to see results I immediately notice my skin is so much clearer & it only get's better with each use. While it's the pricier side, it is worth the investment! You can also see from above that I need to stock up as well!
Mask 5: Whish Renewing Mud Mask
I am a big fan of Whish products because I am all about sustainable skin care. They stick to using natural ingredients with no parabens, sulfates & it's all sourced organically. Their mud mask was another recent find that I got in my Fab Fit Fun box, and I love it. My best friend and I tried it the other weekend as an exfoliating prep before we got ready to go out and it was terrific! A little bit goes a long way with this mask and bonus you don't need to leave it on for more than two minutes! In such a short period it gets rid of all that dead skin and primes your skin to be glowing! I recommend using this mask before you are getting ready for a night out or just want to feel like your best self on a Monday morning!
Happy masking! I hope this was helpful & if you have any questions, please leave them below! I also would love to hear what masks you guys have tried and loved! Also, I have linked all the products below (except the Urban Oreganics mask but you can find the link for that above), plus a mask brush because I think it's essential!
